St. Michaels Museum at St. Mary's Square is pleased to announce the 2022 July 4th Children's Parade will be held on Monday, July 4, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
All children who are residents or visitors to St. Michaels are welcome to participate. Participants are encouraged to bring bicycles, wagons, tricycles and pets decorated for the Fourth.
Leading the parade will be Uncle Sam followed by the St. Michaels Fire Department’s antique Fire Engine, Maggie, and the Boy Scouts.
9:30 a.m. Children, parents and grandparents should arrive at the corner of St. Mary’s Square and Chestnut Streets.
10:00a.m. Parade begins, heading towards Talbot Street and turns north, turning onto Willow Street just past Christ Church, then turning right again onto Church Street, left on Mulberry and right on St. Mary’s Square Street, ending at the St. Michaels Museum.
11:00a.m. The Traditional July 4th Program begins with Boy Scout Troup 741 raising the flag and leading a Pledge of Allegiance infront of the Museum. This is followed by a Benediction and songs both patriotic and folk by the Royal Oak Musicians.
This year’s featured speaker is CBMM Curator Pete Lesher, whose topic is “A New Birth of Freedom.”
Magician John Dodge will then will perform for everyone. St. Michaels Museum will be open with free admission. Refreshments will be available from the St. Michaels Fire Department and the Boy Scouts. St. Michaels Museum is located at St. Mary’s Square, 201 East Chestnut Street.
